A couple of days ago, I posted about a new distillery in New York State called Tuthilltown Spirits. After corresponding with Ralph Erenzo, one of the founding partners of the distillery, I am all the more impressed by their products–not just the Bourbon (though I’m still partial).

Turns out, Tuthilltown Spirits took home a number of awards since its rather recent inception. At the International Beverage Testing Institute Competition, Tuthilltown won two Gold and two Silver medals. Tuthilltown’s Bootlegger Vodka (for a client, Prohibition Distillers) took a Silver (out of 138 competitors) at the San Francisco International Wine and Spirits Competition, a very large and prestigious gathering now in its tenth year.

And for those whiskey fans out there, Tuthilltown took home an excellent score (91 out of 97) with its Hudson Four Grain Bourbon at the Ultimate Beverage Challenge in New York City.

These are amazing showings for a relatively young distillery. Tuthilltown’s products are definitely worth you trying. Me? I have to wait until after Lent.
