Two great pieces

If you are looking for things to read about the current administration and major issues it is facing, look no further. Here are two great pieces for you.

First, an interview with James Woosley, the former CIA Director, about the Christmas airplane bombing and whether the administration’s failure to catch the terrorist was an issue with miscommunication or something deeper.

– An interesting follow-up piece confirming Woosley’s concerns is here.

Second, a piece from Conrad Black recalling the highs and lows–okay, just the lows–of Obama’s first year in office. Black characterizes the issues well and discusses whether the administration’s focus on certain issues has blinded it when it comes to other, arguably more important, issues.
