Netanyahu before the United Nations

I heard a lot of this speech the other day. It is worth watching the entire inspiring speech. Netanyahu, the Israeli Prime Minister, spoke in reference to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s recent speech to the U.N. where he once again denied the Holocaust. Netanyahu makes the point that we cannot stand by idle when someone makes a “systematic assault on the truth.”

Netanyahu’s speech is wonderful for its appeal to truth, its willingness to confront real issues that go back centuries and still plague us today. It is an example of what modern political discourse can achieve.
